CIRCULATION CLERK Searching...for a customer service oriented person who values teamwork to provide direct circulation services to customers of all ages in person, over the phone, or through the website as a Circulation Clerk working at both Medical Lake and Airway Heights branches. This position is responsible for providing direct circulation services, which includes check-in/check-out of materials; inspecting library materials for damage prior to check-in; registering customers and issuing library cards; receiving money from customers; using the library’s automated system; answering the phone, responding to customer inquires, and referring calls to the appropriate department; and processing library materials for shipment. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; two years’ general office or customer service experience; public library experience preferred; AA Degree in related field may substitute for experience; or any combination of education, training, or experience that assures satisfactory performance of essential job functions. Refer to the job description for complete qualification information. The work schedule is: Monday – Thursday 3-8 p.m. (Mondays & Wednesdays at Medical Lake; Tuesdays & Thursdays at Airway Heights.) SCLD is searching for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead Region II in the role of Branch Services Manager, working from the Spokane Valley Library. Working in close collaboration with the Region I Branch Services Manager, this position is responsible to the Director for planning, organizing, and implementing all library services provided from the branch libraries within the region and for its facilities, staff, and other resources. The Branch Services Manager role is a critical part of the District’s management team, closely involved in strategic planning, library advocacy throughout the community, and review of individual services and how they affect the District as a whole.
