Spokane County Library District subscribes to a number of licensed databases to help you locate quality information that goes beyond what may be available on free web sites. Biography Resource Center

A comprehensive database of over 600,000 biographies of contemporary and historical figures in all fields. 50,000 new or updated biographies are added annually. Accessible anywhere with SCLD card.


CultureGrams

Provides cultural information on countries and territories of the world and facts about the 50 U.S. states. Includes a kids' version featuring cultural and geographical information on selected world countries. Accessible anywhere with SCLD card.


World Book Online Reference Center

Contains every article from the 22-volume print set; more than 20,000 pictures, maps, videos and sounds; educators' tools, student resource guides and editor-selected websites. Includes World Book Kids and a Spanish-language encyclopedia. Accessible anywhere with SCLD card.
