Suspend Holds Feature
Are you worried that the item you requested awhile back will become available while you’re on vacation, and you’ll miss getting it?
Well, worry no more!
Spokane County Library District offers a "suspend hold" feature for unfilled requests on your library card/account. Suspend hold means that your request keeps its current place on the waiting list, and won’t move forward until it is “unsuspended”—so you don’t lose your place in line or have an item become available when you’re not here to pick it up.
To suspend your own holds, simply log into your account on our catalog.
From there, click on My Checkouts/Holds at the top of the page.
Scroll down to your list of holds, and click the box(es) next to the title(s) you wish to suspend.
Click the “Suspend Selected” button, and select the start and end date for the suspension period.
Finally, click on the red “Suspend Selected” button to save your changes.
If you want to cancel the Suspend Hold feature on an item, simply click the box next to the title in question, make sure the button next to “Activate Selected” is clicked, and press the red “Activate Selected” to save your changes.
It’s that easy!
