All classes begin at 2pm
Class size is limited, so please call or stop by one of our libraries to register.

Computer Basics
Never touched a keyboard or a mouse? This class is for you. We will go over what computers are, what an operating system is and the difference between hardware and software. You will also learn about the keyboard and mouse, what a desktop is, how to work with programs and files, and the proper way to turn computers on and off.

Web Basics
Prerequisite: able to use a mouse
Learn what a browser is and how to use it, three ways to access a website and how to tell if a website is secure. We will go over the parts of a web address, the different types of web pages, how to effectively use a search engine and a web directory, and how to print only the pages you want.

An introduction to the main functions of Microsoft Word 2010, including how to create a letter or paper, format and modify text, open and save a document, cut/copy/paste text, and use the spell/ grammar check.
