Baby Lapsits
Ages 0-18 months
20 minutes of nursery rhymes, songs and stories introduce babies to the rhythm and beauty of language, building the foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. As all activities happen with babies on grown-up laps, plan to attend in a one-to-one baby/adult ratio.
Toddler Storytimes
Ages 1 1/2 -3
Designed for toddlers, this 20-minute program consists of very simple picture books, fingerplays, and a flannelboard story or a puppet. This age group can use adult help participating in the activities.
Toddler Play & Learn Storytime
Ages 1 1/2 -3
20 minutes of simple stories, songs and fingerplays followed by 30 minutes of age-appropriate activities introducing the concepts of math, science and literacy. This age group can use adult help participating in the activities.
Storytimes
Ages 2-5
With an appealing combination of new and familiar stories, songs and poems, this 30-minute storytime broadens the little ones’ horizons and reinforces the pleasure of reading in the more “grown-up” 5-year-olds.
Play & Learn Storytime
Ages 2-5
An hour of fun: stories, songs and fingerplays followed by activities that explore the concepts of math, science, art and literacy.
Preschool Storytimes
Ages 3 - 5
30 minutes of picture books, fingerplays, songs, puppets and an occasional craft or game.
Preschool Play & Learn Storytime
Ages 3 - 5
An hour of fun for the intrepid preschooler: stories, songs and fingerplays followed by activities that explore preschool-level concepts of math, science, art and literacy.
Family Story Evenings
All Ages
Especially for children who can’t come in during the day, this storytime is based on the preschool storytime, welcoming kids of all ages?and their adults! Children are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed toy or blanket.
