Online tutors are available on demand, every day from 2pm – 10pm for one-on-one help with everything from homework to skills building and test prep.
Professionally trained tutors will help students in kindergarten through 12th grades with math, science, English and social studies.
Tutors will help adult learners with things like their GED, adult education courses, grammar help with their resume or work-related projects.
How it Works
The student and tutor communicate in a virtual classroom via IM (instant messenger). Tutor.com, or Live Homework Help®, also uses two-way white boards, which are especially helpful for math and science problems.
Through Tutor.com’s Live Homework Help®, the tutor sees the grade level, subject and student’s question and the student sees the tutor’s first name and last initial. The tutor is not allowed to share personal or identifying information.
With your Spokane County Library District card, you may get free Live Homework Help every day, 2pm – 10pm, from any location. If you don’t have an SCLD library card, you can still access free Live Homework Help from computers inside any of our 10 libraries. SCLD's reciprocity with the City of Spokane/Spokane Public Library does not apply to database services, including Tutor.com.
