Our Book-a-Librarian service is back and now offered remotely by phone and via online video sessions.
This service helps you discover the tools, skills, and strategies you need to successfully do the things you want to do.
Learn how to download the latest best-seller to your smartphone. Discover strategies for finding the best educational content for at-home student learning. Get help filing for unemployment benefits. And more!
If you have been wondering how to do something, Book a Librarian may be the answer to helping you find a strategy or solution.
In your one-on-one appointment, you’ll get personalized help from library staff by phone or via an online video session. (At this time we are complying with social distancing guidelines and not offering in-person appointments.)
We match you up with a staff person who has specialized knowledge in your topic or area of interest (this may take a couple of days after you submit your request). That staff person spends about 30–45 minutes going over the topic or question you have, showing you the best resources available through our library and elsewhere, and helping you learn how to continue to find and use those resources once your appointment is over.
You can schedule a Book-a-Librarian appointment by submitting our online form or by calling your local library.
