Explore the Community Art Show: Celebrate Your Community at our libraries and online, March 7–31. View art created by local artists of all ages in the community, displayed in our libraries. You can also see a digital collection of selected art from artists across Spokane County.

Enjoy Irish music performed by Floating Crowbar or Arvid Lundin & Deep Roots. Cheer for high school teens while they perform their slam poetry at the Annual Valley Slam. Find a Jigsaw Puzzle & Board Game Swap at one of our libraries. And drop in at the CHAS Mobile Clinic at Spokane Valley Library.

For Adults

Stop by Argonne Library in March to see the Millwood History Exhibition. You can also drop in for the Millwood History Enthusiasts discussion and a presentation called, Millwood: Theft, Fire, and Celebration.

The EWU Racial Restrictive Covenants Project Workshop helps homeowners who have a clause in their homes’ deeds restricting all “non-Caucasians” from residing in the homes. This workshop gives you the tools needed to fill out and file a Racial Covenant Amendment Form.

If you’ve taken one of our 3D printing workshops, then you might be interested in Intermediate 3D Printing: Making Troublesome Prints Work at Spokane Valley Library. You can also try out a variety of creative technology during Maker Open Hours in The Lab at North Spokane Library.

Memory Café is debuting as a monthly event at Spokane Valley Library in March. You can also attend weekly at North Spokane Library. We also have Dementia Friends Information Session programs.

Other helpful workshops and classes include A Matter of Balance: Preventing Falls, Medicare programs, AARP Free Tax Aide, and WorkSource Drop-In Help for job seekers.

For Tweens & Teens

We’re having the time of our life with you at our Swifties Celebration: Friendship Bracelets for fans ages 10–14.

Explore your vocal creativity during Retro Reels: Voice-Over Challenge (ages 10–17) at Spokane Valley Library. See what you can do with creative technology during Junior Maker Drop-In Hours (ages 8–16) at North Spokane Library.

Teens (grades 7–12) can help plan programs and work on other projects with a team of other teens during the monthly Teen Leadership Council. Every week, Teen Hang Out & Create offers a space to hang out, study, and/or try out a new creative activity.

Kids & Families

The Read Across America: A Beanstack Reading Challenge for kids in grades K–5 and their families is happening March 1–31. Learn more about the reading challenge, including how to sign up and get started.

During Thinking Money for Kids (grades K–5), become a financial wizard by trying out different activities. Create your own farm, learn about pet adoption, or become a party planner! Uncover possibilities and learn about new things, such as earning, saving, spending, sharing, and budgeting—all while having fun!

Make a Tabletop Miniature Golf Hole (grades K–5) with supplies provided by the library. Then, try to get a hole in one!

STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) programs for kids and/or families include LEGO Free Play, Terrific Tuesdays, Wonder Wednesdays, STEAM-Themed Thursdays, and Homeschool Hodgepodge.
